Chapelle Saint-Roch

La chapelle Saint-Roch est le nom de plusieurs chapelles, notamment en Europe, qui furent érigées en hommage à Roch de Montpellier (en latin Rochus), saint protecteur des victimes de la peste ou autres maladies contagieuses. C'est pourquoi plusieurs de ces chapelles furent construites dans des cimetières où furent ensevelis des pestiférés.
