Étymologie
- (1887) Attesté dans Unua Libro de Louis-Lazare Zamenhof. Racine fondamentale (mot-racine UV ). À comparer avec le latin rex, (au génitif regis), qui donna le français roi et l'italien regio. L'accent circonflexe sert à différentier la racine de reg, dont les origines sont communes[1].
